| David and Jesus Compared |
| Jesus is the Son of David with some similarities, but Jesus far excels him by some differences. We can glorify Jesus by the similarities and the differences. David himself called Jesus his Lord, and he wrote that He was fairer than all men. |

| Introduction: |
| David is the chief O.T. Bible person with far more space devoted to him than to any others. |
| Jesus is the Son of David in both prophecy and fulfilment from early in the Bible to the end. |
| Jesus is sometimes even called David in prophecy, and God chose David for His Son’s father. |
| David’s character and conduct are far more fully revealed than any other person in the Bible. |
| David had great courage, graciousness, humility, leadership, love, mercy, victories, worship, zeal, and more, but any trait he had our Lord Jesus perfected it far beyond him. |
| Let us build a tower to God of a few similarities and then differences to honour Jesus Christ our Lord, the Son of David, the Son of God, our Saviour and coming Redeemer. |

| David is similar to Jesus in wonderful ways, though simple and imperfect. |
